Hillingdon Council has finally completed road surface works along Field End Road and the service roads in the Eastcote Shopping Area.
Eastcote Residents' Association are delighted to announce that Hillingdon Council have finally completed the long overdue road surfacing works throughout Eastcote's shopping area. Many had complained that the road surfaces were of poor standard, with potholes and uneven surfaces causing havoc for motorists.
ERA had been lobbying Hillingdon Council for some time over the expected standards of the roads in the borough, so President Chris Groom was pleased to note the work had finally been completed. Speaking to the website Chris explained that "Gentle [but continuous] pressure does work" and urged residents to use the contact centre to report road defects for the best resolution.
Update: 16th June 2014 - Following continued pressure from residents, and with support from ERA, we're pleased to report that Farthings Close has now been completely resurfaced also. This followed complaints of a heavily worn road surface for a number of years. The work was finally completed after residents joined together to petition the council, and successfully had their complaints raised at a petition hearing.
