Jubilee Picnic Highlights

Amidst the excitement, street parties and festivities during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee weekend, thousands flocked to Eastcote House Gardens on Saturday 2nd June to celebrate the occasion.

The Jubilee Orchard was dedicated by The Mayor of Hillingdon following joint sponsorship by the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens and the people of Eastcote. He also presented the Hinman Shield to the 5th Eastcote Beaver Colony for their involvement with conservation work at Eastcote House Gardens.

 

 

The Tug of War team from the Case is Altered defended their title and won the Tug of War Trophy for the second year running. The trophy was presented by Nick Hurd, who also presented the medals to the winners of the Children's races.

Other attractions included a display of classic cars, Tai Chi demonstration, guide dogs, and a spectacular display by the Fire Service plus local charity and group stalls helped mark the occasion.
