Eastcote Christmas Festival 2012

The Eastcote Christmas Festival is Hillingdon's premier Christmas event, and this year promises to be bigger & better than ever, with new features including a festive craft market, Santa's Grotto & Workshop.

Presented by the Eastcote Festival Team, the event is an ideal opportunity for some festive family fun, offering unique Christmas gift ideas and entertainment for children and adults alike.

Winding along the length of Field End Road shopping parade, this year's event, now known as the Eastcote Christmas Festival, has a whole host of exciting attractions to keep you occupied on Sunday 2nd December, including:

Also look out for the fabulous Banners of Faith which have been on a whistle-stop tour around the borough and involving 100's of volunteers. They're even heading to Parliament (at the House of Commons) for support from local MPs. On the day, they will proudly lead out the Candlelight Parade, which starts at 4:30pm from Dean Croft Road (opposite the Library). The Candlelight Parade is the highlight of the Christmas celebrations, offering 1000's of local people the chance to take part in a magical community moment as they march through Eastcote towards the main stage; which this year will be sensibly situated in the Ascott pub's car park.

Following the grand light switch-on, which will again include stunning lights on Eastcote station and 4-full sized trees throughout the town, there will be an opportunity to indulge in the holiday spirit with the Christmas Service, featuring some of your best loved carols and Christmas songs.

This year, the event will continue until 8pm with the Eastcote Christmas Concert on the main stage, so why not grab a drink and dance the night away - the perfect end to what looks to be a fantastic day of fun for all.

The event starts at 10am - 8pm and you can find out more information at the organiser's website www.eastcotefestival.co.uk or the event website www.eastcotechristmas.co.uk.
