Major Success For Eastcote

Borough gets blooming brilliant result as it secures Gold status for second year running.

Hillingdon is celebrating another horticultural victory after winning Gold at the London in Bloom Awards 2014 for the second year running.

  • The borough won overall winner in the Large City category, Park of the Year for Eastcote House Gardens, i.e. the best non-royal park in London 
  • The borough also won overall winners in the Conservation Area category for Long Meadow in Eastcote and Small Conservation Area for Highgrove Woods in Eastcote
The ERA extends its congratulations to all the volunteers who took part and help make Eastcote such a colourful and pleasant place to live and work.

Flower Baskets Bring Colour to Eastcote

Following campaigning by ERA, Eastcote has received an array of hanging baskets throughout Field End Road with thanks to Hillingdon Council.

Eastcote's main shopping area has received some seasonal inspiration just in time for the summer, as a number of hanging flower baskets were installed on lampposts. The injection of colour throughout the area offers an immediate visual boost and really livens up the area.

Members Visit RAF Northolt

Members and volunteers of Eastcote Residents' Association were treated to a tour of RAF Northolt in June.


RAF Northolt have long offered members of the public the opportunity to visit the base on "open days" to get a feel of life on an active RAF station and get an opportunity to see a number of aircraft up close and personal. In addition RAF Northolt, which celebrates its 100th birthday in 2015, often arranges private guided tours of its facilities to local residents groups, clubs and schools.

Eastcote Road Resurfacing Completed

Hillingdon Council has finally completed road surface works along Field End Road and the service roads in the Eastcote Shopping Area.


Eastcote Residents' Association are delighted to announce that Hillingdon Council have finally completed the long overdue road surfacing works throughout Eastcote's shopping area. Many had complained that the road surfaces were of poor standard, with potholes and uneven surfaces causing havoc for motorists.

83rd Annual General Meeting 2014

The Eastcote Residents' Association is hosting its 83rd Annual General Meeting on Friday 16th May 2014 at St Thomas Moore Church on Field End Road.

Join the ERA committee and members, alongside Guest speaker Steward Pomeroy from Colne Valley Park. Stuart will be talking about a new approach to protecting and enhancing the countryside on the edge of London, how HS2 and other threats may change your local countryside and how the River Pinn connects with this.
